Hello! My name is Florian Berger – the creative mind behind FOUGUEworld. FOUGUE (pronounced “fug”) is a French word that means momentum, passion, and fervor. And yes, I’ve got plenty of passion to share!

I work freely, following the flow of the line – inspired by the principle of écriture automatique. That’s how new images emerge every day. My work likes to blend different disciplines. Drawing is definitely at the core, but I also enjoy animating my illustrations and bringing them to life. As a musician and singer, I love working on the auditory level too – which makes my art come alive in a multisensory way.

 

As a trained teacher, I have lots of experience telling stories to children and presenting content in ways that they can easily engage with and understand. Yes, I’m on a mission to bring all my passions together! One of my biggest dreams is to create my own children’s books – complete with a teaching guide and a CD of original songs!
